    4. BSIS Radar Installation

    (1) Installation height range

    (2) Horizontal mounting angle
    The angle between the normal line of the rear radar and the body line is 45°±2° (see figure below). Make sure the UP indication is facing up.

    (3) Radar vertical mounting angle requirements.

    Display Installation

       (1)Select a suitable location for installation at the 2 positions A,B in the figure below so that the driver can easily observe the monitor;
    (2)Clean the surface of the mounting position, use 3M adhesive to stick the monitor on the car body, or use self-tapping screws to lock the monitor onto the car body.

    System function

    7.1 Self diagnosis
    When key is turned to"on",system start to make self diagnosis,and will remind driver by visual and audible warning.

    Note:(1)GPS logo flash means it is getting signal,GPS logo keep on means getting signal successful; (2)If the sensor status was changed from uncovered to covered, the vehicle speed should be over 10km/h.

    7.2 Start on condition
    When power on and not R gear,sensor detect obstalces located in side area of vehicle,and alerts for potential dangerous obstacles through display to remind drivers to drive safety.

    7.3 BSIS Function

    7.3.1 BSIS static alarm function (speed ≤ 5km/h)
    (1) Alarm area definition

    (2) Alarm color bar definition:
    The alarm color bar is divided into three sections according to the target location:

    A.If the target is in the area 3 meters in front of the vehicle, the color bar above the display is lit(S1);
    B.If the target is 3 meters in front of the vehicle to 7 meters behind the front, the middle color bar of the display is lit(S2);
    C.If the target is 7 meters behind the front, the color bar below the display is lit(S3)

    (3) Function:
    A,Transverse crossing at the front of the vehicle

    When a bicycle/pedestrian passes a vehicle from the front (at a speed > 0.5 m/s) and may pass the vehicle within 4 seconds or enter the 3.5 m warning zone, system will give out warning(According to the target position light corresponding color bar, color is orange);

    B, Overtakes from the side
    When a bicycle/pedestrian overtakes a vehicle from the side of the vehicle (at a speed of >0.5 m/s) within 4 seconds and may overtake the vehicle or enter into the 9 meter warning zone , a Level 1 Alert will be triggered (According to the target position light corresponding color bar, color is orange);

    C, Level 2 Alert
    When the color bar of the display is on, the left turning signal is triggered or the vehicle turns left, the second level alarm is triggered(The bars appear red and flash, the buzzer beeps twice, and the trigger wire outputs a low level);.

    7.3.2 BSIS Low Speed Alarm Function (5km<vehicle speed≤30km/h)
    (1) Alarm area

    (2) Functions
    A,If a bicycle/pedestrian enters the alarm area 4, the system will trigger the first level alarm (According to the target position light corresponding color bar, color is orange);

    B,If the bicycle/pedestrian will overtake the vehicle within 12s, the system will trigger the first level of alarm (According to the target position light corresponding color bar, color is orange);

    C,If the vehicle overtakes a bicycle/pedestrian within 4s or the bicycle/pedestrian is <5m away from the vehicle (alarm zone 5), the system will trigger the first level alarm (According to the target position light corresponding color bar, color is orange);.

    D,Level 2 alert is triggered
    When the color bar of the display is on, the left turning signal is triggered or the vehicle turns left, the second level alarm (The bars appear red and flash, the buzzer beeps twice, and the trigger wire outputs a low level);.

    E,If a bicycle/pedestrian enters the hazardous alarm area, the second level alarm is triggered(The middle strip is bright red and flashes , the buzzer beeps twice, and the trigger wire outputs a low level voltage)

    7.3.3 BSIS High-speed Alarm Function (Vehicle Speed > 30km/h)
    (1) Alarm area

    (2) Function
    A,If an obstacle enters the alarm area 8, the system will trigger a first level alarm (According to the target position light corresponding color bar, color is orange)

                                                                                                                                                                                                                TTC2<3s

    B、If obstacle overtakes the vehicle within 3s,the first level alert will be triggered(According to the target position light corresponding color bar, color is orange);

                                                                                                                                                                                                                TTC2<3s

    C,If the vehicle overtakes the obstacle within 3s or the obstacle is <8m away from the vehicle (alarm area 9), the first level alarm will be triggered (According to the target position light corresponding color bar, color is orange);

                                                                                                                                                                                                                TTC2<3s

    D,Level 2 alert is triggered
    When color bar of the display is on, the left turning signal is triggered, the second level alarm is triggered (The bars appear red and flash, the buzzer beeps twice, and the trigger wire outputs a
    low level).
